Thomas Rowland (born March 18, 1993), better known by his stage name Rowlan, is an American rapper, songwriter, and producer hailing from Los Angeles, California by way of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Rowlan is a hip-hop artist with one goal in mind; producing and creating meaningful content for the people to feel, and relate to. Music originally started out as an avenue to get out his “dark thoughts”, but has turned into an exploration of the arts, personal discovery, and society. Rowlan is not another “white rapper” trying to build off the successful of his predecessors, e.g. Eminem, as he truly begins his own style and uniqueness to hip-hop. He has built a strong following with a steady release of EP/Albums; Rich by 8400 (2013), The Lions Roar Pt 1 (2013), Grateful (2014), Lions Roar II (2014) & WeRowlan (2015). This talented MC is part of the next generation of hip-hop which includes the likes of Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole, where their content goes much further than money, cars, girls, or a dance craze. Rowlan understands the importance of having variety in music so his sound and messages go beyond the norm.
